We both had fun days and difficult days. The fun days included dancing in my living room with my mom when my mom was in the mood. The difficult days is when we went for a long walk to help relieve the stress that builds up.
I decided early on when I found out my mom had Alzheimer’s disease to do what I can to make life fun and go with the flow. I learned a lot about myself and my mom. My mom showed me her courage to keep going and fight despite the disease that had taken over her life. I am not happy that my mom has Alzheimer’s disease, but I thank God for the opportunity to help my mom during this difficult time in her life.
